Mr. Schertler came to us from the City of Saint Paul's Department of Planning and Economic Development, where he was responsible for implementing and administering its role in land-use planning, housing and economic development, small business lending, home rehab and mortgage foreclosure prevention programs, and the sales tax program targeting neighborhood revitalization and promotion of the cultural arts. Mr. Schertler is responsible for creating incentive programs in land use and real estate development. He is a licensed attorney with an extensive background in land use and real estate development. Mr. Schertler attended the William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and received a bachelor's degree in history from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.

Mr. Steinman has a solid understanding of public policy issues related to redevelopment and debt issuance and has maintained successful client relationships by providing strategic, value-added solutions for the everday challenges faced by local government officials. Prior to joining Springsted, he served in three government management positions. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and mass communication from North Dakota State University - Fargo.
